China Merchants Port Shenzhen West Port recently welcomed the inaugural voyage of SITC Indonesia route CMI2, which takes Jakarta as its core hub and radiates to major ports in Indonesia. The inaugural cargo ship is loaded with high value-added goods such as electronic products and mechanical equipment, which is expected to improve the trade efficiency between South China and Indonesia. This move is an important measure for China Merchants Port to deepen the Southeast Asian layout of the "Belt and Road" and further consolidate its position as a core port in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
